1. Who we are
AppMare runs mauiweb.appmare.com and the MauiWeb licensing service, and is the controller of the personal data described here. Privacy contact: [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Account data: your email address, password (stored by Google Firebase Authentication, never by us in readable form) and the profile you fill in: name, company, country, role, and optionally team size, what you are building and how you heard about MauiWeb.
- Order data: plan, licensee name, allowed domains, licence keys, order status and renewal dates.
- Licence check data: when a site uses a key, the key's ID, the domain, the MauiWeb version and the time of each check. Our server also sees the server's IP address.
- Messages you send us by email.
We do not collect data about the visitors of your MauiWeb site. Card and payment details are collected by Paddle, not by us.
3. How we use it
- To create your account, issue and manage your licence keys, and check keys are used on their domains (performance of a contract).
- To prevent key sharing, fraud and abuse (legitimate interests).
- To answer your questions (contract and legitimate interests).
- To send product updates and offers, only if you tick the box (consent). You can stop them at any time.
- To keep tax and accounting records (legal obligation).
4. Who we share it with
- Paddle (Merchant of Record): Licences are sold through our online reseller Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”). Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle handles your payment and billing data as an independent controller; see Paddle's privacy policy.
- Service providers acting on our instructions: Google Firebase (accounts and database), our server host and Cloudflare (network and security).
- Authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data.
5. How long we keep it
Account and order data are kept while your account is active and then as long as tax and accounting law require. Licence check records are kept while the licence is active and for up to 12 months after. Support emails are kept for up to 24 months.
6. Cookies
This website uses only what it needs to work: Firebase keeps you signed in, and your theme choice is saved in your browser. We do not use advertising cookies.
7. Security and transfers
Data is encrypted in transit and access is limited to the people who need it. Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent. Email [email protected]; we answer within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
MauiWeb is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and change the date above.
